Erm, thought to post some Christmas photos, but found out I have some photos taken that day (21st of Dec) during DongZhi Festival.
Of course, my mum will make Tangyuan! ^^
The ingredients needed are:
1. Glutinous rice flour
2. Water (LOL)
3. Gingers
4. Food colouring (mum bought strawberry flavour this time, not the usual tasteless red syrup!)
5. Brown sugar
Actually the preparation is very simple, just pour the glutinous rice flour in a bowl, add water stir it (or whatsoever)...
...until the it becomes the texture of dough. After that knead the dough for a few minutes (until you tired, hahaha), and add the strawberry flavour colouring!
Of course if you are creative, you can use other colors such as blue, yellow, green, orange...etc, but the traditional Tangyuan is red and white :)
Mum and Eling, pinching off pieces of the dough and roll it into small balls.
..and stuff some brown sugar :D
Tada~
Tangyuan are as cute as button :P
After that, cook the tangyuan, ahem, I mean drop the tangyuan into boiling water and cook it, until it's cooked (hahahaha, okay, until it floats), AH!!! Don't forget to add gingers to make the soup yummier :D
Slurpppppppp
The tangyuan this year was special, because mum use strawberry colouring and it tasted really DELICIOUS!!! I would say, 10X yummier than previous years, hehee
See?
The brown sugar melted...hmmm...
Love it
Alright, the first thing we do during DongZhi Festival...is... :)
Mum cooked some foods for the reunion dinner
Andy joined us for the dinner too :)
P/S: His hometown is few hours away from KL
Kevin joined us too, because he is a Christian and his family doesn't really celebrate it
I LOVE my family! ^^

Looks like a fun celebration! What I noticed, was everyone working for the Festival...except 1 person. Her name starts with the letter "V", just to give you a hint. hahaha
Hahahaha, my mum didn't want my help! So I just took out my camera and snap snap ;)
