Golden Triangle, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (Burma)

Be aware, this entry has got 69 photos :)

黄金三角 Golden Triangle, Thailand (source 1 and 2) is the name of the area which covers Thailand, Myanmar and Laos near the point where the three countries meet. It used be the very famous area for opium Nowadays the opium production decreased. The name remained for tourists who just want to see the point. You don't see any special things here. Just a normal Mekong River view and huge commercial development is much bigger than one of Chiang Sean. There is a Casino in Myanmar side and there was an idea which this area becomes a international tax heaven or gamble heaven with the connection to China by boats.

Really nothing special in Golden Triangle, however you should visit it once :) the boat ticket is 300 baht for one person.

"Erm do you mind to take a photo with me?" I asked the man

"What? ME?! Really???" His reaction was big and he was very surprised

"Wowwwww, I'm so happy, she wants to take photo with me!" He screamed and told the whole world. This was why I smiled like this :D

30 minutes later, going back to Thailand
IMG57

The children behind me in this photo were asking for money, I didn't give them. It's not about being generous or kind-hearted. I have my own point of view, I will talk about this next time

First things first...ALL of your pictures are beautiful! Not just that one where you're smiling. Lovely eyes, cheeks, AND nose!

I totally agree with you on not giving those kids money, just because they're begging. It's bad when tourists come and give money to relieve their conscience. Pity never helped anyone to help themselves. Even in bad circumstances...you can't really know how bad it is until you're trying to dig your way out. I should know!

You shouldn't worry too much about what would happen to your passport if you dropped it in that mailbox...because it may not have been emptied for years. So you could have lots of time to decide how to get it out of there. haha

Tsk, tsk...so you don't know how to swim, huh? Well no matter...looking at that water, you would probably be eaten by crocodiles before you drown anyway! hahaha Much more distressing for me, is why you didn't bring your sexy purple lingerie on the trip. I mean really, what are you waiting for? hahaha

Finally, I think you were following that lady in the white hat, tan jacket, black shorts, and flip flops. Don't even bother denying it Violet! hahaha

Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience! It's a lot of fun...especially when I didn't take a vacation of my own this year. Your good-times, become my good-times too. All the best to you and Kevin!

Hey I didn't follow the lady! We signed up the same trip and went to places together, so you will a lot of 'her' in my photos. Hmmm soon you will get to see her beautiful face...I snapped a photo with her. Gagagaga :P
